In my last message, I touched on the 6 key factors that I think make RD Industries great. Today, I would like to expand upon the importance of development within our company. People, products and processes are the three principal areas that receive the majority of our development focus.
We invest in the development of our people every day at RD Industries. Whether it is the day-to-day growth or long-term professional progress, fostering the talent within the company is first and foremost. As Kathryn Minshew said, “A company is only as good as its people.” I feel that the investment in our employees will only propel the company towards the success we envision.
Product development is a continuous improvement process at RDI. Our established customers know that several of our products have seen multiple enhancements. These changes occur as our products mature with each improving version. Customer feedback, internal testing and market understanding have led to these modifications. We refuse to remain stagnant if there is an opportunity to improve our product as well as provide innovation into the marketplace.
Processes to produce our best products have evolved over time. Most come from internal recognition, knowing where we could improve. We now have several processes in place at different stages of the product lifecycle that we feel bring about the best product. From sales to product development and production, utilization of improved processes is just as important as the development of our people and our products.
As with everything, all of these areas are in constant evolution in order to keep RD Industries on the path to growth. I feel we have found a great formula for development and that puts us right where we need to be – poised for the future.
Looking back on 2015, it was a great year, full of growth and change for RD Industries. In order to increase capacity and build upon existing production processes, we made the addition of new molding machines and automated assembly machines. We celebrated these additions with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in April 2015. These additions have helped us increase production and to continue manufacturing all of our products in the U.S.A.
October brought a successful ISSA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. As the major tradeshow in the JAN/SAN industry, ISSA always provides us with the opportunity to catch up with current customers, meet with potential customers and network with our partners in the industry. As always, it is great to see the newest trends and to build upon them to offer new solutions.
We are very excited entering 2016. We will continue to implement ways in which we can enhance our capacity as well as the quality of our products. In the coming months, we will focus on all the aspects that have helped shape RD Industries: Imagination, Inspiration, Innovation, Implementation, Development and Domination. We will explore each one on a deeper level, and how I believe that each of these areas are key to our success and move us toward a brighter future here at RD Industries. Stay tuned!

So how does this hand pump integrate closed loop chemical containment and dispensing technology? It’s equipped with an attachment that allows any bottle to be fitted with a SafTflo® insert. Our SafTflo® line is a self-vented, closed loop chemical containment system. Used in conjunction with our Bottle Insert, the pump screws onto the neck of the bottle and the end user depresses the dispensing portion of the unit to deliver a pre-metered amount of chemical concentrate. Then, add water to dilute.
